Biography
Erin Heatherton was born and grew up in Skokie,
Illinois, and she attended both Solomon Schechter Day School and Riles
High School. She didn't fit well in her high school because of her
tallness. Heatherton was discovered vacationing on South Beach, Miami
where she went with her family on a minivan. She launched her career in
New York City, walking for Diane von Fürstenberg, and has since modeled
for Shiatzy Chen, Alberta Ferretti, Blumarine, Carolina Herrera, Derek
Lam, Dolce & Gabbana, Gianfranco Ferré, Lacoste, Marc Jacobs,
Michael Kors, Moschino, Oscar de la Renta, and
Career
Heatherton was discovered vacationing on South Beach, Miami, and eventually signed with the Marilyn Agency.[1][7] She launched her career in New York City, walking for Diane von Fürstenberg, and has since modeled for Shiatzy Chen, Oscar de la Renta, Tommy Hilfiger and others.[1] She has appeared on the cover of D, Grazia, Velvet, and Muse.[1][8]Heatherton is featured on the Victoria's Secret website and is currently a Victoria's Secret Angel. She walked in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.[1] Heatherton was a featured model in the 2010 Victoria's Secret SWIM catalog,[9] as well as the "Body by Victoria" campaign.[10]
In January 2013 it was announced that Heatherton would be the face of the XOXO Spring/Summer 2013 line.[11]
Personal life
Heatherton dated actor Leonardo DiCaprio from December 2011[12] to October 2012.[13]
