Emily Kinney is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Beth Greene in the AMC television series The Walking Dead. Kinney was born in Wayne, Nebraska. She graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2006. Kinney has had reoccurring roles and guest appearances on television series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order: SVU, The Good Wife, and The Big C. She was cast as Beth Greene in the AMC television series The Walking Dead in 2011. Along with acting, Kinney is pursuing a career in music. Her EP, Blue Toothbrush, was released in 2011.

Early life

Emily Kinney was born in Nebraska on August 15, 1985. She graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2006,^[1] and thereafter moved to New York City, where she began her acting career.

Kinney has had recurring roles and guest appearances on television series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order: SVU, The Good Wife, and The Big C.^[1] She was cast as Beth Greene in the AMC television series The Walking Dead in 2011.^[1] In 2013, Kinney was promoted to the main cast of The Walking Dead alongside Chad Coleman and Sonequa Martin-Green.

Other ventures

She is also an active blogger, writing about her experiences as a young actress in New York for Unscripted Magazine.

Musical Career

Kinney became officially a singer when released her EP called Blue Toothbrush in 2011, five songs full of wonder that exploit sex, empty, hope and love with an open heart and fresh sound that is so captivating and as it is genuine. With an impressive resume in the theater and on television, Born in Nebraska actress and singer/songwriter Emily Kinney starts telling stories from her own notebook on her debut EP, Blue Toothbrush. Kinney in 2013 is working on her first album of new material called Expired Love.
